The rescue CD allows you to boot your computer in a virus-free environment in case of emergency. Before starting, make sure you have a blank CD to hand and follow these steps:
Go to the Services menu and click Rescue disks.
A screen welcomes you to the wizard. Click Next.
Click Create rescue CD/DVD.
Specify if you want to create the rescue CD using the burning tool incorporated in , or if you prefer to create an ISO image in order to record it later with your usual CD burner. We recommend you create it directly with . To do this, select the option Select a recordable drive and click Next.
Insert a blank CD in the CD or DVD burner drive and click Next. When the recording process is complete, a window is displayed indicating that the CD has been correctly created. Click Close.
Label the CD correctly and store it in a safe place.
You can also create the rescue disks from the Start button in Windows (Start > Programs > > Rescue disks).
Note: Scans will always be run with the most recent malware signature file available, either on the computer or the disks.
